New Government Bailout PLan
In the final days of the Bush administration a new "bailout" plan is in the works. No, it doesn't involve Citigroup, the Big Three, or any financial entities for that matter. With no fanfare Bush has begun his end-of-term friend making campaign by issuing pardons for individuals whose crimes include the poisoning of Bald Eagles to narcotics trafficking. That's right kiddies, according to AP there are 14 pardons and a couple of commuted sentences on their way to the richly deserving and my guess is that they won't be the last. neighborhood news update
well, lets see here...
America
Good, sorta - Our intrepid lawmakers apologized to the Canadian that we arrested on his way back from holiday, sent to Syria for torture and imprisonment. During a plea from both parties to Napoleon, the treatment was referred to by California Rep. Rohrabacher (R) as "a mistake". The victim, Mr. Maher Arar, communicated his ordeal to the Houses Judiciary and Foreign Affairs committee recently via video link due to the fact the we won't allow him back in the country despite the fact that Canadian officials have cleared him of any involvement with terrorist groups.
All I'm saying is that if we can prevent a software engineer from entering the country because he was born in Syria, we have to be able to get enough signatures to kick Celine Dion out. Right.
Just kiddin girl, we're gonna miss you here in Vegas.
